Pop2Life
Pop2Life for Disney Consumer Marketing Campaign
Pop2Life for Disney turned to Magjak to develop a direct mail letter to incentivize high schools throughout the U.S. to take part in a photo and video voting project.

Program Snapshot
Magjak developed a mailing that was match-mailed to two sets of contacts in each of 30,000 schools nationwide. Each letter was personalized and presented on high quality letterhead paper stock. Magjak used offset presses to print the letter and matching envelopes and then personalized each with names and addresses for both recipients. The mailing was done to maximize efficiency which resulted in a per-piece postage cost of just 25 cents each. The entire project was printed, processed and mailed within three days of final client approval.

Leeway Construction Management Corp.
Leeway Construction Management Corp. Marketing Campaign
Leeway Construction Management Corp. contacted Magjak to create a lasting first impression in order to stand out in a crowded residential real estate construction market.

Program Snapshot
Billy Lee, President of Leeway Construction Management, desired a new company image utilizing the Leeway Family Crest and the development of a unique marketing piece to replace the traditional business card. The goal of the new branding was to represent the quality image and reputation the company has established. The goal of the piece was to stand out among the plethora of business cars that are handed out every day in the construction industry in Manhattan. Billy turned to Magjak to design the logo, create a branding for the company and develop a unique piece that he could use in client meetings.

One thousand 8 x 9 (folded to 4 x 9) four color high-end promotional pieces were produced highlighting the company’s expertise in residential construction and renovation using glossy photos from completed projects, the family crest and an incorporated business card that could ultimately be removed.

West Point Thoroughbreds
West Point Thoroughbreds Investors Campaign
West Point Thoroughbreds needed to identify investors for 15 two-year old
thoroughbred racehorses in a difficult economy. With 5,000 names in his database, Terry Finlay, President of West Point Thoroughbreds, turned to Magjak to develop an eye catching high quality marketing solution to his problem.

Magjak conceived, designed and produced high end glossy “photo ID cards”
for each thoroughbred detailing their attributes as well as the benefits of being a
racehorse investor. The cards were packaged together in a clear vellum envelope
for maximum impact and were mailed to the West Point Thoroughbred’s database

The Results
Seventy percent of the investment shares of the horses highlighted were purchased
and only five of the 15 horses have investment shares remaining. The client
considered this the most successful campaign they have ever done especially
given the slow economy.

Club ABC Tours
Club ABC Tours Cross Media Campaign
Club ABC Tours increases membership, revenue and leads with cross-media campaign garnering Magjak with Best-of-the-Best Contest, Xerox Premier Partners Global Network

The Challenge
Club ABC Tours, located in northern New Jersey, is one of the largest private travel clubs in the world. For a small membership fee ($30/year, $35/2 years, $60/3 years), they provide their clients with discounted tour packages to more than 250 global destinations.

When Club ABC Tours was ready to develop a direct marketing campaign, they approached 1:1 expert Magjak, located in nearby Port Chester, NY. Their task— to develop a piece that would encourage referrals, acquire new members and increase travel among existing clients.

The Solution
No stranger to the world of personalized marketing materials, Magjak outlined an in-depth recommended course of action for their client.

First they had to acquire their mailing database, which they accomplished using data mining techniques to isolate the high-value customers and prospects. They then worked to create an emotionally appealing message, complete with variable-content and personalization, communicated via cross-media direct marketing channels including print, e-mail and the Web.

The printed piece was a single-fold mailer printed on 100 lb. uncoated Color Xpressions® stock using a Xerox® iGen4™ Press driven by a Creo® print server. The personalization featured on both the cover and interior was powered by XMPie®.

The Benefits

The campaign was a huge success. Just one month after launch, Club ABC Tours acquired 142 new members—resulting in $4,343 in membership revenue—in addition to 98 referrals and 31 new customer leads. But the real success was found in the number of trips they were able to schedule. During the same 30-day interval, Club ABC Tours booked 180 total passengers, generating $437,288 in revenue.

Magjak has also benefited from the piece. Club ABC Tours was so happy with the results that they commissioned a second campaign. Inspired, Magjak is also looking into replacing their current static brochure with an application leveraging this variable- data-driven strategy.

Tradeshow Management
Reed Exhibitons Multi-Channel Solution
Reed Exhibitons contacted Magjak to increase tradeshow attendance. As part of the multi-channel solution, Magjak was called upon to produce a complete cross-channel marketing campaign targeted to 24 different segments within the food and hospitality industry.

Program Snapshot:
For each of the 24 segments, text, images and offers varied to create the most relevant message to the recipient. Segments included chefs, restaurant owners and caterers.

A total of 52,000 direct mailers were produced, along with 22,800 emails. Both the direct mail and email contained a personalized URL that allowed each recipient to register to the tradeshow.

Alliance Bernstein needed Magjak to come up with an innovative and effective way of communicating new hires and changes in personnel to their clients. Our solution, full-color 7”x5” personalized, print-on-demand announcement postcards. Concordia College Variable Data Marketing
Concordia College turned to Magjak to assist in increasing attendance of prospective students to specific campus recruitment events as a means of increasing admissions.

Program Snapshot:
Magjak created a variable data mailing targeted to over 2,000 local candidates. Prospective students were encouraged to respond by sending in a pre-filled in business reply card. Variable items within the mailer included:

Pitney Bowes Multi-Channel Solution
Pitney Bowes turned to Magjak to help increase attendance of existing clients at Open House events showcasing new technology and services.

Program Snapshot:
As part of the multi-channel solution, Magjak produced and mailed personalized direct mail and a follow up at open house eventsemail blast to key Pitney Bowes clients inviting them to an onsite open house showcasing various Pitney Bowes technologies and services. The direct mailers and emails introduced the event and directed recipients to RSVP at their own personalized web site that Magjak designed and deployed. The solution also let Pitney Bowes track and monitor clients' response to the invitation.

Within 2 hours of sending the email to 2,044 people, 27 people clicked on their personal URL link - a 32% open rate. 68 people clicked on the side links in the email to learn more about the event.

  • Total response was 2.2%, 340% higher than their previous static mailing.
